Fall Activities

Women's Fall Volleyball

Date: October thru November

Time: Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 pm

Location: Wheatland High School Gym

Registration Deadline: TBA

Fee: Dependent upon the number of teams signed up

This is a great league for all. From beginners to advanced we have a little bit of it all.  Want to get out of the house, meet new people, and yes get in some excercise.... Try women's volleyball.  If you have a team you would like to enter visit the link at the top of the page for a registration packet and rules.  The league will start in mid October and run for 4 weeks.

Winter Activities

Adult Open Gym

Date: February 2nd thru April 12th

Time: Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7:00 - 9:00 pm

NO OPEN GYM Feb. 16th & March 6th

Location: Wheatland Middle School Gym

Registration Deadline: None

Fee: Donations are accepted

Young children should not be brought to the gym as they will be unattended.  Donations are accepted. Times could be changed subject to any Middle School activities

Spring & Summer Activities

Adult Coed Volleyball

Date: March 6th thru April 19th.

Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm

Location: Wheatland High School Gym

Registration Deadline: March 1, 2012

Fee: Dependent upon the number of teams registered.

Participants must be 18 years of age to participate.  If you are an individual who wishes to play and do not have a team, please contact the Recreation Office. If enough teams are not registered to have a league, we will have open gym instead.

Carey Jo Thomas Memorial Coed Softball Tournament

Date: August 3rd - 5th

Time: TBA

Location: Wheatland Ball Fields

Registration Deadline: TBA  - Register early, you can submit your registration form online by clicking here!

Fee: $300

Rules: We will be following USSSA rules.

This tournament is a fun tournament with no protests allowed.  

Adult Coed Softball

Date: July 9th thru August 12th

Time: Games are on varied nights dependent upon the number of teams entered in the league.  Games usually begin at 6:00pm.  There will be an end of season tournament held on the weekend of August 11th & 12th.

Location: Wheatland Ball Fields

Registration Deadline: July 2, 2012 Coaches Meeting @ 6:00 pm

This league continues to grow and grow.  This has been a tremendous league for players, teams, and all the people who just like to watch a good a game of softball, or maybe have a few laughs!  Participants must be 18 years of age to play.  USSSA league rules will be used, with a few "local rules added." 

Tae Kwon Do

Date: Monthly class

Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Dates for the Saturday sessions will be announced in class.

Location: Libbey All-Purpose Room

Registration Deadline: The first 2 weeks of the month

Fee: $15 per person, second and third family members are $10, families of 4 of 5 $35., families larger than this will have a fee of $55 a month.

This is an excellent class for adults, families, and children.  Children must be at least 8 years old.  New students will be accepted during June and January, but will be looked at on a case by case basis, if new to the area. Belt testing will be held on Saturdays. This class is designed to discipline the mind, body, and spirit.  It will give insturction in this non-violent art and a system of complete body excercise.   Comfortable clothing should be worn or students may purchase a gi, information may be obtained from the instructor.

Let's Zumba

Date: Monthly class

Time: Mon. & Wed. evenings 5:30 - 6:30 pm.

  Tues. & Thurs. mornings from 5:30 - 6:30 am. Yes it's early, but you feel better ALL day!

Location: Dance Wyoming!

Registration Deadline: None- register at the Community Education Office

Instructor: Melissa Garcia

Dance/Fitness class to a Latin Beat.  Fabulous fun to be had by all.  Almost like your not excercising!  The first Monday and Wednesday of each month will be a beginners and refresher class.  Great time to start!   JOIN THE PARTY!

Adult Crafting Classes

Date: January 17th - April 3rd

Time: Tuesdays from 1:15 to 3:00 pm

Location: Platte County Recreation Office
