Tae Kwon Do is one of our more popular classes.  They will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during the summer.  This is an excellent class for adults, families and children.  Children must be at least 8 years of age.  New students will be accepted during the month of June.  Belt testing will be held on Saturdays.  Dates for Saturday sessions will be announced in classs.  Students should wear loose fitting exercise clothes.  The instructor will have information about purchasing gis.  The registration obligation is for one month.

Date:  Tuesday's & Thursday's
Time:  6:30 - 8:30pm
Fee:  $15 per person, second family member $10.00, third family member $10.00.  Total for families with 4 to 5 members is $35, and six family members is $55.

Youth Golf Lessons - For chldren ages 5 and up.  During this class students will be taught the fundamentals of stance, grip, swing, and follow through.  Golf rules and course etiquette will be emphasized.  After completion of this course the students should have an understanding of the basics of the game. 

Students are urged to bring their own clubs, however, some clubs will be available.  Class limit is 8 students.
Instructor:  Brandon Smart, Place:  Wheatland Golf Course, Driving Range.  Dates:  July 6, 13, 20, 27.
5 and 6 year olds and Students who have never been on the course before Time:  9-9:30  Fee:  $15.
Students who have played with supervision and can play on the course on their own will be able to play on the course.  The instructor will do the final grouping of students.  Class time will be from 8-11am.

Beginning and Intermediate classes:
Students who have never been on the course - 9:30 -11:30 am $25.00 Fee
Have played with supervision.  -  Class limit 8. Time 9:30 - 11:30 am Fee $25.
Can play on the course without supervision.- Class limit 8, time:  9:30 - 11:30am.  Fee $25.  Instructors Brandon Smart and Lisa Halsey.













Mermaid Princess Tea: This is a wonderful experience for the younger set.  Join Cheryl in the park for a real tea
party with a Mermaid Theme.  There will be tea and finger foods.  Crafts and a little fun in the Sun!
Ages 3 years through 3rd Grade.  July 16, 2010.  Time:  10:30am to 11:30 am.  Lewis Park $5.00 Fee


Art in the Park:  The young artist will have a chance to do several projects during this class.  Sculpture, printing, and paper art!  $15  Fee for all classes.  Recommended ages are 6 to 12 years.  We purchase supplies for a few more kids than are registered so drop-ins will be accepted as long as supplies last.  Drop ins are $5 per class.  Register in advance and drop ins should call as early as possible to let us know you are coming.  Instructor:  Molly Wilhelm.  Dates:  July 6, 13, 20, and 27.  Time:  1:15pm to 3:00pm.  Place:  Lewis Park.

June 25 - SPY CAMP
Learn about codes, self defense and surveilance.  Collect fingerprints and more. 
Fee:  $5.00 Time 1:15pm to 3:00pm at Lewis Park

July 2 - Science Round-up
We will take our favorite science experiments and have fun creating slime,
clean up an oil slick, and make something explode!
Fee:  $6.00 Time 1:15pm to 3:00pm at Lewis Park

July 16 - Solar Fun
Use the power of the sun to run a car, create art, cook, and make things float. 
Find out if sun screen really works. 
Fee:  $6.00 Time 1:15pm to 3:00pm at Lewis Park

July 30 - The Game is A Foot
This activity will test your powers of observation and deduction. 
We will hold a scavenger hunt in the park and learn a little bit along the way.
Fee:  $5.00 Time 1:15pm to 2:30pm at Lewis Park

August 13 - Aargh Matey - Pirate Day
Spend the morning at the pool being pirates and walking the plank.
Follow a treasure map for lots of fun.
Fee:  $1.00 Time 10:00am to 11:45am  at the swimming pool.



Game Bags Available for check out at the Recreation Office.  Equipment includes volleyball net and balls, horseshoes, soccer balls, and softball equipment.   A deposit is required, amount depends on the equipment requested.  Call to reserve.

Tennis Lessons - Beginners Tennis lessons presented in a fun and easy to learn format.  Bring your tennis racquet, however if you do not have one - a racquet will be provided.  Classes are limited to 8 students.  Classes will be held on TUesdays and Thursdays./  Students in Grades 1 thru 4 will meet from 9-9:45am.  Sudents in Grades 5 thru 8 will meet from 10 - 10:45am.  Dates will be June 29, July 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, & 20.  Fee $30.00.  Instructor Dan Sherrill.  Place:  Lewis Park Tennis Courts.
